![]() "In order to avoid the material copyrighted by Douglas Fairbanks Sr. Four Stars *** Running time 2 hours, 5 minutes. Third, I recorded this film on TCM back in November, and still have the original Zap2it description:ġ938. A Best Picture Nominee, the film won Oscars for editing, art direction and score." "Epic swashbuckler about the regal outlaw hero and loyal-to-King-Richard defender of the realm who, with the help of his merry men of Sherwood Forest, takes on usurping traitor and his mutinous minions. on TCM, channel 230.įirst, the thumbnail is not from Robin Hood, but the movie Flying Down To Rio. ![]() The Adventures of Robin Hood is playing on 8/2, 8 p.m. ![]() I was able to find an exact example of how your Guide program information is not working compared to Zap2it. Second email sent to the Rovi Senior Manager who contacted me: Microsoft will work directly with Rovi on any further issues you might be having." Please open a ticket with Microsoft in the Connect site ( ). Microsoft and Rovi are investigating the reports of no movie year and generic descriptions. ![]() At this time we don’t have an estimate on when this will be fixed. "We believe we have identified the problem and Microsoft and Rovi are working towards the best solution. They are obviously aware of these issues. I had contacted them via their website & gave them information on missing titles, missing original air dates, & generic descriptions. This is what I've sent her, and she's promised to get the right people to look into it. SugarFree wrote:Have finally been contacted by a real person at Rovi, who asked for specific Guide Information problems. Nothing is downloaded and future recording no longer works. Now when you search for actor or director, the only things that come up are those few already on the broadcast schedule. Worked perfectly on Zap2it, is broken on Rovi. The movie/show is then put into your Series lineup and if it is ever broadcast in the future, it automatically records. Then you can click on anything, and an option pops up to "record at a later date". One of the great features of WMC is the ability to search for an actor or director, and have the guide download *all* their movies or TV shows. One other major problem with the guide: Search. Clearly the info is available to you as well as it was to Zap2it - why aren't you using it and when will it be restored? The guide description was perfect from zap2it, and is virtually unusable (in any meaningful sense) from Rovi. It does have a pretty (and large) movie poster, which is unnecessary and useless. A two sentence synopsis that says nothing important. Here's what Rovi has (for this and ALL movies on ALL channels) : When Zap2it controlled the guide, this (and every other movie on ALL channels would have the year of the movie, the rating, and a brief synopsis on the first page, and a click left would bring up a second page of a full, multi-paragraph review. Here's another: TCM, channel 230, 1:30 pm. Same generic description tonight at 10 and 10:30. Generic description: "Ray Romano hit the sitcom stratosphere with this gem based on his stand-up routine." Etc. Instead of stating which this is (Poldark, Crimson Field, etc), and giving a synopsis of the episode, it just says "PBS's longest running series is an Anglophiles delight" - and goes on to mention series that ran 40 years ago! At 1 pm on channel 508 (wsbehd) is Masterpiece Theater, which has many individual series. We need program name, channel, date/time of airing. > please send me some specific examples of programs that do not have the rating or have generic descriptions so we can investigate if this is a Rovi issue or an issue with the way WMC is parsing Rovi data. ![]() Have finally been contacted by a real person at Rovi, who asked for specific Guide Information problems. ![]()
